Farberware 3-Piece Wood Cutting Board SetWith grooved channels to catch juices for making sauces and, these three inexpensive cutting boards are ideal for carving roasts and poultry. The boards' rounded edges make them unusually attractive for serving at table. Plus, they flip over to provide flat sides to prep vegetables or slice and serve bread. Because the set consists of a large, medium, and small board, all cutting and carving needs are satisfied. The large board measures 17-1/2 by 11-1/2 inches, the medium is 11-1/2 by 9 inches, and the small is 8-3/4 by 6-1/2 inches. Made of farm-grown hardwood (no forest trees involved), the 5/8-inch-thick boards are sealed with food-grade mineral oil so they won't dry out. Wipe them clean with soapy water and dry and they will last several lifetimes. --Fred Brack

Customer Review:Great set !Very nice.....Use a couple in our travel trailer,and the other in the house. Made very well. Good!Yes, when it is soaked in water for a long time, it wraps. But when it becomes dry after a few days, it is flat again. It's worth every penny Started With 3, Down to 1 ("you get what you pay for")My wife and I received these as a wedding present about 2 years ago. Out of the package they looked nice, worked well, and cleaned up as well as any wooden cutting board does. The three sizes were generally pretty practical, but the small one is a little too small. Keep in mind that these are not the high quality end-grain blocks you see laid into kitchen islands or big butcher's blocks. These are side-grain blocks that are pretty thin and prone to splitting.
After about six months of use, the medium board cracked into two pieces and had to be thrown away. It was the one that we used most often, but it was never abused.
Six months later again, the big one cracked as well. It also had to be tossed. Now we are down to the tiny one, which is only really useful for cutting up one piece of fruit at a time, and really isn't suitable for chopping veggies because the pieces inevitably fall off the sides.
Like I said, we never abused or dropped them. We did put them in the dishwasher, which probably was the problem--but I think that any cutting board worth owning should withstand DW cleaning. Now that I am confident that the DW did them in, our last little one only gets hand-cleaned, but I still worry about it being thoroughly sanitized.
I had to go out and buy a large poly cutting board for about $5 to replace the broken ones. I wish I had just bought two of those in the first place. The poly ones aren't as pretty but they sure work a lot better. They clean easier and more confidently and they are DW safe. When was the last time you saw a commercial/restaraunt kitchen that didn't use poly? Take it from the pros--use poly. I wish I had started out using it. Customer Review:Who wants Ice Cream?This makes great Ice Cream... for all New Yorkers you'll appreciate me comparing it to Carvel !!! MMMmmm Good!This is great! Works great! I used my mom's recipe from my youth! It evoked great memories - and so much easier. No salt, no ice. WOW! Homemade IceCream!This made the best ice cream! My first batch I didn't let cool long enough before putting it in, but I was anxious for some chocolate ice cream. LOL! After mixing and then putting it in the freezer, it came out wonderful. Note made to myself - Make sure to cool long enough.
My second batch cooled enough before I put it in and it came out soft serve fairly quickly. I made Mint Chocolate Chip.
I can't wait to make other flavors. :) Keywords: Small Appliances; Electrics; Ice Cream Machines; (Makers); Mixer Accessories; (Kitchen Aid);

Customer Review:Great looking product but.................Everything looks great and works well. The only problem is, you have to put all the accessory on it to make it work. The processor will not start chopping unless all the accessory is latch perfectly. I understand it's a protection mechnism to not let your finger get chopped off, but this also means that I will have a hard time dripping olive oil into the little hole and more things to wash. Especially when the top attachment which contains two parts cannot be seperated, it is hard to wash it clean. It will not be as easy as you see on tv, you can't just put on two part and start chopping, you have to put on all the parts. Cuisinart is the food processor of choice.Need to say very little. This is the original workhorse of processors and it is an earned reputation. Works great, cleans easily and never fails. Highly recommended! great for bread and everythingBackground: I bought this Cuisinart after reading all the positive reviews on this site. I bought it mainly for making bread because my mother raves about making bread with hers. I already had a small food processor for chopping, so I wasn't too concerned about that.
Opinion: I have made great bread with this (rustic style) with no problems, and it really is easy. I actually prefer this one to my smaller food processor for chopping, because the blade sits closer to the bottom of the bowl and so is better for chopping small quantities. So far I haven't gotten the slicer to work as well as it does in the video (things fall sideways in the tube, etc), but I haven't tried too hard. I only cook for two, and I do not think it is too big. In fact, it's much better than the smaller one because I can slice several things into one bowl. Furthermore, I have sometimes found it to be too small (for making cole slaw, for example).
I am here now to get some additional blades. I recommend getting an additional, thinner slicer blade if you want to make coule slaw. The one that comes with the machine is a little too thick, Keywords: Small Appliances; Electrics; Full-Size Food Processors; (Foodprocessors);
